I really enjoyed working as a team on this project and I think the end result was a variety of beautifully crafted brochures. In my opinion, the collaboration for my group went very well for the amount of disruptions we had to adjust our plans to and around. We were able to communicate very freely which allowed us to each work on our own components individually while we were working remotely, and then bring it all together in the end to create a well polished, cohesive piece.
As for the brochure itself I learned a lot about the importance of the quality of content included within the text of the brochure. Viewing the brochure as another AIDA document helped me to choose what features I would highlight over others when trying to build interest. The point of the brochure is not to sell the product but the feeling that comes with it. Careful and considerate word choice is important when trying to build interest and desire enough that it will result in some sort of action by the consumer. When actually constructing the brochure, I came to realize the importance of the way that you actually display your information. For example, your paragraphs should be complete and clear so the audience isn’t left wondering, but they must also be concise otherwise the audience won’t want to read it all. Making sure the color scheme flows throughout the entirety, and aligns with your product is also important to the look and effect of the brochure.
