Dear Employer,

Subject: Application for Behavioral Health Professional Position

I would like to be considered for the position of Behavioral Health Professional that was advertised on your company website on February 6, 2021.

I am currently studying Psychology as an undergraduate at the University of New England and I plan to graduate with my Bachelor’s degree in May of 2023. For the past three years I have worked part time as a Teacher’s Assistant at the School for Early Learning in Sandwich, Massachusetts. My role at the school included both assisting the teacher as well as supervising and interacting with the children. I created arts and craft projects for the kids to complete on a daily basis, directed outdoor activities, played gym games with the kids, organized various areas of the classroom as needed, and cleaned toys, floors, and surfaces as needed.

My time spent working with children has allowed me to become a much better communicator, not only with the children themselves but with the parents as well. I am able to articulate the needs and concerns of the children with their parents as needed through a daily report. When communicating with the children, I approach each interaction with an open mind so that I can try to accommodate the unique needs of each child as best as possible.

I am a very teachable person and pick up new skills and instruction quickly. I believe that my strong work ethic and passion for working with youth would serve as a good foundation for working with clients of all ages with developmental disabilities.

You may find my resume attached. I would be happy to talk with you further at your convenience. I can be contacted at the email address and phone number listed below. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Haley Enos
