My role in creating the news release for the Cleaning Critter was primarily about creating desire. At first this piece was hard for me to work on, as it goes hand in hand with the interest portion and therefore reflects the same ideas very closely. As a part of my role I took a step back from my position as a creator, and chose to look at this product from the point of view of a consumer. This way I was able to identify which features and factors would make someone like me want to buy this product the most. Through the use of the AIDA model, and my newly found knowledge of news releases, I was able to include some testimonials which highlight the portions of our product that create desire, such as its eco-friendly factors and reusability!
