The University of New England is a friendly and remarkably successful school with endless opportunities and resources available to students on campus. This handbook is highly informative including information about four on campus resources as well as three major lessons that the authors have learned throughout their own college experience, and wish to share with you. It also includes a plethora of helpful advice provided to you from current UNE students of all grades, a coach, and a current professor.
Coming to a new school that is supposed to help you transition into adulthood can feel like a lot. As a freshman you are on your own for the first time with new faces all around. Sometimes asking new people questions you might have can be nerve racking and awkward, but being a first-year student is a substantial change and responsibility to get used to. You might not think there is anyone around to help you through this process but trust us when we say there are! Let this handbook be a helpful guide that you use to navigate this process. It will provide you with tips and insight on what other undergraduate students and adults at UNE have to say about their experiences here.
